Father-Daughter Valentine Dance
A chance for fathers and daughters to spend some quality time together! Refreshments will be served and a professional photographer will be onsite to capture the memories!
Easter Events
Lunch with the Easter Bunny at the Matthews Community Center
Ages 2 to 5; Tickets are $7 per person.
Children will eat lunch, do a fun craft activity and get their picture taken with the guest of honor!
Easter Eggstravaganza
Ages 12 and under; Admission is $5 per child (tickets purchased at event)
We will have refreshments, music and the annual egg hunts! Bring your camera and have your picture taken with the guest of honor!
Approximate Egg Hunt Times:
Ages 3 & under -- 12pm; Ages 4-6 -- 12:30pm; Ages 7 & 8 -- 1pm; Ages 9+ -- 1:30pm

Beach Fest Matthews has rides and amusements, boardwalk style food, shagging and more. Bring the family to celebrate spring and have some fun!

Summer Concert & Movie Series
Come out to Stumptown Park every Saturday nighs for free concerts and movies in the park! Concerts begin at 7 PM, pre-movie activities begin at 7 PM, movies begin approximately 8:30 PM or dusk. Vendors will be on site selling dinner food, treats, and drinks. No pets please.

Fun Family 4th of July
Come decorate your bikes, scooters and wagons, then join us in the People's Parade, a non-motorized parade from Matthews Station St. (in front of Town Hall) to Stumptown Park.
The evening will be capped off with a concert in the park by "Too Much Sylvia".
Bike decorating at 5:30 PM, People's Parade at 6 PM, concert at 7 PM.
Matthews Alive!
Historic Downtown Matthews
A Labor Day weekend celebration dedicated to the support of local non-profit organizations through music, arts and community involvement.
The festival is a grand, four-day family event. Expect to see more than 150 arts and crafts vendors, 30 food vendors, one of the largest parades in the Southeast, the festival’s annual quilt show and the Kids Connection interactive area, as well as a fantastic Midway full of games and rides for all ages and four stages of free entertainment all weekend.

Not So Spooky Halloween Carnival
Curley the Clown, old-fashioned hay rides, Halloween games and activities, prizes and more.
There will also be a costume parade, so come dressed in your costumes ready to have a great time!
The Nutcracker
Presented by Matthews Ballet and Dance.
Holiday Happiness begins with The Nutcracker at the Matthews Community Center
Performances: Saturday & Sunday of Thanksgiving Weekend, and Saturday & Sunday of the following weekend.

Hometown Holiday and Holiday Tree Lighting
The first Saturday of December in Historic Downtown Matthews.
A traditional small-town holiday celebration. An afternoon filled with holiday crafts, activities, entertainment and a tree lighting with lots of surprises!
Breakfast with Santa
The second and third Saturdays in December; Sessions at 9 AM and 10:45 AM.
Matthews Community Center; ages 2 to 8; tickets are $5 per session (including adults).
Bring your camera and take your picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus! Come enjoy breakfast and make great holiday crafts.
