On Saturday, November 10, 2018, at approximately 10:30 am, Matthews officers responded to a home in the 900 block of Evian Ln. regarding a report of a burglary.  Upon their arrival, they made contact with the homeowner who said that a man came to her door and said he was from the gas company.  He then reportedly forced his way into the home and stole items from inside.  There were no weapons involved and no injuries reported from this incident.  The suspect is described as a black male, wearing a hat with dark grayish-green work style clothing.  He was seen possibly driving a beige/tan Dodge or Chrysler minivan.  Please see the attached pictures below for examples.
