Chief Clark A. Pennington of the Matthews Police Department and Chief Rob Kinniburgh of the Matthews Fire Department are excited to announce that they are partnering to hold the first annual “Matthews Public Safety Year In Review”.  There will be three individual community town hall-style meetings to cover the three specific response areas of Matthews.  These meetings will be a chance for citizens, local business owners/employees, students or anyone that visits Matthews for any reason to come and learn about everything public safety related that has taken place in Matthews during 2018.  This review will be to cover such topics as Crime Stats, Fire Response Stats, Staffing, Calls for Service and much more from each agency.  Each Chief will present to the group information regarding his perspective agency, answer any questions, listen to suggestions, and go over each agencies goals and objectives for 2019.

Matthews is divided into three different response areas; The North, Middle, and South.  There will be a specific meeting for each response area.  Please find your area of interest on the attached map, locate the meeting for that area on the provided color-coded schedule and mark your calendars.

Matthews public safety is a partnership that we all must invest in to achieve success as a community, please join us at your area meeting.
