Chamber of Commerce

The Matthews Chamber of Commerce is an ambitious group of business and community leaders whose goal is to promote, represent and support the civic, economic and educational development of the Matthews Area.

Founded in 1980, the Chamber began with a mere handful of members. Growing steadily over the years, its membership is now over 350 businesses, with new members joining every month. Being a Chamber member is about building and promoting businesses and dreams. The Chamber hosts programs for networking and supporting our community. The Chamber offers monthly luncheons, Business After Hours, Seminars, a Business Trade Show open to the public, and many monthly chamber events that create opportunities to network and exchange ideas beneficial to promoting business growth. The "Women in Business" Program and "Matthews Young Professionals" Program are two of the latest opportunities to network and make valuable connections.

The Town of Matthews is one of the state's most affluent and desirable communities. It has been ranked in the top 20 according to Business North Carolina in the listing of the Best Cities for Business and in the top 10 for having the Best Work Force. The Matthews Chamber of Commerce website at allows members and interested parties access to the Chamber information at any time and to be able to make inquiries, RSVP to events and luncheons, and obtain the most current Chamber Business News.

Promoting the Town's many special events has also become an integral part of the Chamber's work, hosting the Matthews Auto & Motorcycle Classic, a classic and antique car show on Labor Day, as well as ArtWalk & MusicFest, an Arts and Master Crafts show, along with music and performing arts, held the last weekend in September each year.

The Matthews Chamber of Commerce has provided excellent service to the Greater Matthews area for more than thirty years and will continue to do so in the years to come. Whether you are a business person or a resident, you're invited to be active in the growth of Matthews.
