A chance for adults and their children to spend some quality time together, in the transformed gym at Crewsd Rec Center. Dinner, refreshments, and plenty of desserts will be served. Photography will be on site to capture the memories! The DJ will keep the evening fun, with plenty of current music and dancing. Valentine crafts and special takeaway gifts round out the night!
Any combination of significant adult and child are welcome!

Matthews Food Truck Fridays & Concert Series

A variety of food trucks will roll into downtown Matthews on the second and fourth Fridays, April through September. Get dinner from up to 10 eclectic area trucks, relax in the park, listen to good music, let the kids play in bounce houses, and enjoy the downtown vibe! Be sure to like us on Facebook at "Matthews Food Truck Fridays" to see the line-up each week and keep up with your favorite food trucks.

Mr. & Mrs. Easter Bunny will be available for three hours on this Saturday, to take posed pictures with children and family. (Furry family members are welcome, too!)
The Great Easter Egg Expedition
April 5th through April 21st, several thousand eggs will be hidden throughout the parks and Greenway in Matthews!
Get out with your family, enjoy our parks, and help us find them!
At a point during each of the three weeks, eggs will be hidden in Stumptown, Squirrel Lake, Windsor, and Sardis parks.
Eggs will also be hidden along the Greenway, (the John Street entrance to the Chesney Glen access-point portion).
Eggs will be multi-colored and will contain small toys. Participants are welcome to keep the eggs they find.
BUT! Find one of the 12 GOLDEN EGGS, bring it to the Matthews Community Center, and you will receive one of the Expedition's Grand Prizes!!

Come decorate your bikes, scooters and wagons, then join us in the People's Parade, a non-motorized/non-commercial parade from Matthews Station St.
(in front of Town Hall) to Stumptown Park.
The evening will be capped off with a concert in the park by "TOO MUCH SYLVIA".

Matthews Alive!
A Labor Day weekend celebration dedicated to the support of local non-profit organizations through music, arts and community involvement.
The festival is a grand, four-day family event. Expect to see more than 150 arts and crafts vendors, 30 food vendors, one of the largest parades in the Southeast, the festival’s annual quilt show and the Kids Connection interactive area, as well as a fantastic Midway full of games and rides for all ages and four stages of free entertainment all weekend.
